WESTPORT
Sue Vanderbur, 73, of Westport, passed away at 3:19 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born on July 6, 1944, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, the daughter of Riley and Opal (Isom) Caudill.
She was born and raised in Kentucky and had graduated from Morehead University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She had been a teacher for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation and was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association. Sue enjoyed collecting cookie cutters and Hull Pottery.
She married Paul K. Vanderbur in Greensburg on August 23, 1968, and he survives.
Other survivors include her son, David (Becky) Vanderbur of Greensburg; her granddaughters, Megan and Kate Vanderbur of Greensburg; her sisters, Jackie (Shawn) Carey of Lexington, Kentucky and Debbie (Frank) Campbell of Blackey, Kentucky; her brother, Gene (Barbara) Caudill of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Vaughn & Carlo Caudill.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 4, 2017, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home. Following her wishes, cremation will follow the visitation and burial will be at Union Presbyterian Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Greensburg Public Library or the Letts Volunteer Fire Department.
