DANVILLE, Vt. — The Great Vermont Corn Maze is open for its 19th year, and its operator is warning people not to be in a hurry to complete it.

The maze is made up of 3 miles of dirt trails and lined with 10-foot tall walls of corn.

The maze spans 24 acres in Danville, making it the largest in New England.

Creator Mike Boudreau tells WPTZ-TV (http://bit.ly/2ew1kIE ) that it takes the average person 2½ hours to complete the maze but that some people manage in just 20 minutes.

He said it helps if you have the ability to laugh at yourself. And, he adds, there are emergency exits for people who need to beat a hasty retreat.
