EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — Police have identified the young man who was fatally shot in Eagle River over the weekend.

Authorities say 20-year-old Connor Stephens, of Conover, was shot in the chest about 11:45 p.m. Sunday. Stephens was taken to Ascension Eagle River Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers arrested a 19-year-old Eagle River man in the shooting. He’s expected to appear in Vilas County Circuit Court Tuesday afternoon.
