NEW YORK — Authorities say a man is dead after a gunman shot him in the head outside of a deli in New York City.

Police say 21-year-old Bryce Hamilton, of Queens, was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx but didn’t survive. Officials say they received witness reports of someone fleeing the scene after the gunfire.

Police say Hamilton was shot around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday outside the Bronx Deli Grocery. Authorities were also trying to get video footage from the deli, after a witness reported that Hamilton was arguing with someone inside.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
