REHOBETH, Ala. — Authorities say two people have been shot as a result of a domestic quarrel in southeastern Alabama.

Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza told the Dothan Eagle that an argument between man and woman led to the shooting on Tuesday. The man shot the woman in the leg and shot himself in the chest.

The names of the man and woman have not been released.

Valenza says the man was taken the hospital with critical injuries and the woman will live.

Valenza says the man will face serious charges, including attempted murder, first degree burglary and firing into an occupied building if he survives.
