Bull Dogs roll to win

MARTINSVILLE — Alex Munnicha won medalist honors for the second consecutive day to lead third-ranked Columbus North to a 155-171 win against Martinsville on Wednesday at Foxcliff.

Munnicha finished with a 36. Her sister, Nathaly Munnicha, carded a 39, while Danbi Kim and Julia Luken each shot 40.

Molly Donnell added a 42 for the Bull Dogs. Annie Anderson and Yestika Nischol each shot 45, and Nicole Duncan had a 47.

Eagles blank Cougars

NASHVILLE — Brown County did not allow a shot on goal Wednesday in a 5-0 win against Trinity Lutheran.

Landon Cambridge scored two first half goals; and Logan Imming, Curtis Higgins and Logan Huddleston all added second-half goals for the Eagles (6-2-1). Caleb Yeager and Will Ryan assisted on Cambridge’s goals, and Logan Fittz assisted on all three second-half scores.

Brown County outshot the Cougars (2-3-3) 26-2, putting 13 shots on goal. Trinity’s Jacob Keith recorded 10 saves.

Lancers drop close one

EDINBURGH —Morristown won both doubles matches Wednesday to pull out a 3-2 Mid-Hoosier Conference win against Edinburgh.

Coltan Henderson beat Nate Reuter 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 singles for the Lancers (1-6). Ryan Gaston downed Tony Conner 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

Edinburgh’s Parker Bryant fell to Trevon Carton 6-2, 6-0 3 at No. 2 singles. Bladen Hancock and Brayden McManaway lost to Cain Corbin and Bryce Kirstein 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, and Gabe Wilson and Bryce Burton fell to Austin Schonfeld and Logan Theobald 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.

Jets edge Tigers

FAIRLAND — Hauser pulled out a three-set win at No. 3 singles Tuesday to claim a 3-2 victory at Triton Central.

Sean Miller beat Reid Monhollen 5-7, 7-6 (1), 6-3 at No. 3 singles for the Jets (7-1). Alex Gross and Jacob Johnson downed Logan Buchanan and Jordan Brandman 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, and Jacob Rudd and Ethan Wallace topped Ryan Shipley and Caleb Anderson 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Hauser’s Sam Meek fell to Jeff Miller 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Justin Compton lost to Luke Sanders 7-5, 7-6 (3) at No. 2 singles.

Rebels topple Trinity

ELIZABETH — Trinity Lutheran won a third-set supertiebreaker at No. 3 singles Tuesday, but that was all in a 4-1 loss at South Central.

Matt Stuckwisch won his No. 3 singles match 6-3, 6-7 (12), (10-5) for the Cougars (1-6). Bailey Baker fell 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, Jace Crockett lost 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Pierce McCammon and Avery Schwipps fell 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles and Noah Voelker and Caleb Gruenwald lost 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
