MCKEE, Ky. — A former sheriff faces drug charges in Kentucky after authorities found 61 marijuana plants growing on his farm.

WKYT-TV reports that Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at Dennis Peyman’s home on Wednesday after previously finding the plants on his property. Peyman is the former sheriff of Jackson County.

Investigators say Peyman had an agreement with two other people to harvest the marijuana, which police found drying in a barn. It’s unclear who those people are or if they face charges.

Officers found eight vials of anabolic steroids for which Peyman didn’t have a prescription, as well as three loaded firearms.

Peyman was arrested for cultivating marijuana and trafficking a controlled substance. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
