LEXINGTON, Ky. — Authorities are investigating after customers were robbed at gunpoint at a Kentucky mall.

Lexington police Lt. Jackie Newman tells the Lexington Herald-Leader that Thursday afternoon, five to six men with firearms entered a store called Vengeance inside Fayette Mall. The men approached two customers and took their purchases. There were no injuries.

The suspects left through an entrance by Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Investigators don’t have information on a suspect vehicle or detailed descriptions of the armed men. Newman says police are working to obtain video and other evidence.

Newman says it’s unusual for something like this to happen in the middle of the day.
