KOSCIUSKO, Miss. — After a shooting killed one man and injured a woman two Mississippi men have been arrested.

WLBT-TV reports the two were arrested Wednesday in connection with the Sep. 1 incident.

Officials say an unnamed 47-year-old woman and 61-year-old Billy Ray Johnson were shot multiple times. Both were taken to a local hospital where Attala County coroner Sam Bell pronounced Johnson dead.

West residents 51-year-old Albert Mallet and 26-year-old Eris Moore were charged after an investigation by Kosciusko police. Mallet faces charges including weapon possession by a felon, possession of a stolen weapon and aggravated assault and murder. Moore faces weapon possession by a felon, aggravated assault and murder.

Bonds were set at $425,000 for Mallet and $375,000 for Moore. It’s unclear if either has an attorney.

The investigation is ongoing.
