WILMINGTON, Del. — Officials say a body has been recovered from inside a vehicle that went into the Christina River in Delaware.

Wilmington first responded arrived on the scene after receiving a report at about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday that a car had gone into the water in an area behind the Joe’s Crab Shack along the 600 block of Justison Street.

Officials say divers discovered a body inside the car about an hour later.

The person has not yet been identified, and the incident is still under investigation.
