Letter: U.S. too unpredicatable that other countries can’t copy

The view from Europe:

The USA used to be the country that all other countries tried to emulate. I say “used to be” after watching the debate between the current German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her opposing candidate Martin Schulz. Schulz stated that the U.S. president is too unpredictable and Germany needs to focus on more predictable partners.

There was also an answer that listed Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, and Turkey’s president, Recep Erdogan, and Trump with people that could not be trusted. Yes, all these names in the same sentence! These foreign politicians have no reason to say this for their own political gain; they are just stating the facts. The very sad facts.
