PONCA, Neb. — Organizers have prepared more than 90 hands-on activities showcasing outdoor education, sports and education for the Missouri River Outdoor Expo.

The event is scheduled to run next Saturday and Sunday at Ponca State Park, which sits just north of Ponca in Dixon County.

The outdoor activities will include archery, fishing and kayaking. There also will be live wildlife exhibits, exhibition shooting, a canine aquatics competition and a lumberjack show.

A park permit is required of each vehicle entering the park. Permits may be bought at the gate or at www.OutdoorNebraska.org .
