GRAND FORKS, N.D. — It was a close call for a Grand Forks homeowner after he confronted two gunmen who were trying to rob him.

Police say officers responded to shots fire at the house about 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The homeowner told police he heard a noise and when he went to investigate, he found the two men who fired at him as they fled.

KFGO reports authorities say the men fired additional shots once outside the house. The men, ages 18 and 19, are being held on possible charges of robbery and terrorizing.
