TUCSON, Ariz. — Charges of second-degree murder and two felony counts of child abuse have been dropped against a Tucson woman in the death of a 6-month-old girl.

The Arizona Daily Star (http://bit.ly/2wWDD4u ) reported Monday that the Pima County Attorney’s Office dismissed charges against Brianna Raidy.

The 26-year-old Raidy reportedly is a friend of the child’s mother.

She was arrested earlier this year and charged in the death of Wyllow Brewer.

Court documents show the child likely died in her sleep on Feb. 19.

Doctors at the hospital where the baby was pronounced dead say she had broken bones and multiple signs of chronic and severe child abuse.

Three other people are facing murder charges in the case, including the child’s mother and live-in boyfriend.
