SOLDOTNA, Alaska — Alaska State Troopers say a body has been found near the mouth of the Kenai River.

Soldotna radio station KSRM reports (http://bit.ly/2xlHPgD) the remains were found Tuesday afternoon on the shore at the river’s North Beach Area in Kenai.

The remains were sent to Anchorage to determine positive identification. Troopers didn’t release any identifying information about the body, including gender, or how long had it been In the water.
