EDINBURGH
Bessie M. VanWhy, 85, formerly of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away September 10, 2017, at Franklin Meadows in Franklin, Indiana. She was born March 25, 1932, in Clinton, New Jersey, the daughter of Elwood and Bertha (VanCamp) Price.
She married Harry VanWhy Jr. on May 7, 1955. He preceded her in deaath April 24, 1978.
She is survived by two sons, Roland C. (Teresa) VanWhy and Michael P. VanWhy of Edinburgh, Indiana; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Ronald VanWhy, one brother and two sisters.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Edinburgh.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017, by Deacon Russ Woodard at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
