WYANDANCH, N.Y. — A pregnant Long Island woman who was seriously injured last week after being struck by an SUV has died.

Suffolk County police said Tuesday 28-year-old Jeanmarie Ott, of Deer Park, died from her injuries. Her family says she died the day after the Sept. 6 collision.

Ott was crossing an intersection in Wyandanch (WEYEN’-danch) around 6 a.m. when she was struck by the vehicle. Newsday reports (http://nwsdy.li/2vTxbtT ) the 89-year-old Deer Park man who was driving the car hasn’t been charged.

Ott was five-months-pregnant, and her sister Alicia says it would have been her first child.

Detectives continue to investigate the accident.
