Two local men were arrested after Columbus police found them hiding inside a west side hotel that is under construction.
Police were sent to the Fairfield Inn, 2820 Merchants Mile, at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday about a report of suspicious people inside a construction site. The officers set up a perimeter and with the assistance of Columbus Police Department canines, found the two individuals hiding on the fourth floor of the hotel.
They were identified as Ross L. Shireman, 38, Columbus and Justin W. Moss, 48, Columbus, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
Shireman was arrested on a Level 5 felony burglary charge, Harris said. Moss was arrested on a Level 5 felony burglary charge, and also on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and a Bartholomew County warrant.
