FORT DRUM, N.Y. — Soldiers at Fort Drum in northern New York are honoring their comrades around the world.

Members of the 10th Mountain Division will host a wreath laying ceremony at the fort’s memorial park Thursday to honor departed mountain soldiers from the United States and other countries. They will be joined by members of the International Federation of Mountain Soldiers, a group that represents service members from 11 countries.

The international group is holding its annual congress in nearby Clayton.

The 10th Mountain Division has been one of the Army’s most frequently deployed units over the years, with multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
