ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska State Troopers have released the name of one of two drivers killed in a Richardson Highway crash near North Pole.
Troopers say 30-year-old MacKenzie Barnum died in the crash that also killed a 77-year-old driver early Thursday night.
Troopers took calls on the crash at 6:30 p.m.
Troopers say the older driver, behind the wheel of a compact car, attempted to cross the divided highway. His driver’s side door was hit by Barnum’s compact car.
Both men died at the scene.
The state medical examiner has ordered autopsies on both drivers.
