ATLANTA — Atlanta police say a man is in custody after a standoff with a SWAT team that lasted for hours.

Local news outlets report that police were called to an Atlanta duplex on a domestic disturbance call at 2:30 a.m. Friday. Atlanta police Lt. Christian Hunt said a woman told arriving officers that her boyfriend had fired gunshots at her.

Hunt says the man barricaded himself inside the duplex. A SWAT team surrounded the home and used pepper gas to gain entry and capture the man. No injuries were reported.

Police did not immediately identify the man and it was not immediately known if he had been charged.
