Keepsake Village hosting lunch for first responders

Keepsake Village, 2564 Foxpointe Drive, is inviting area first responders to a BBQ-style lunch in their honor Sept. 21.

The lunch will be for current and retired police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians, as well as the staff of the Columbus Regional Hospital emergency department. They are all invited to dine with residents of the senior living community and staff members.

A free to-go meal also will be available for first responders on duty during the scheduled event.

“We believe that these men and women are a vital part of our community,” said Luan Deskins, Keepsake executive director. “We are looking forward to hosting the luncheon to show our support. We owe them so much for all they do, and they deserve our respect and gratitude.”
