PRAIRIEVILLE, La. — Authorities are searching for three men accused of breaking into a home in Louisiana and shooting a 15-year-old boy.

The Advocate reports the three mask-clad men broke into the Prairieville home early Thursday morning and demanded money.

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Bobby Webre says the homeowner started fighting back when the men began to leave. Authorities say one of the men opened fire, striking the teenager.

The teenager was in stable condition at a hospital.
