FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville State University officials say shots were fired on campus in a dispute between two groups.
The Fayetteville Observer reports the Fayetteville Police Department and university police received reports of shots fired around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Lt. Todd Joyce with Fayetteville police says the reports were of shots heard, and by the time officers responded, the people involved had dispersed.
Campus officials issued a warning notification to students saying two groups of people were involved in an argument, culminating in one person pulling out a gun and firing multiple shots.
No injuries have been reported.
It’s unknown if the people involved are students.
