NEW YORK — Police say a bicyclist is dead after she was struck by a truck making a turn on a New York City street.

New York City Police Department officials say officers responded to the scene of the collision around 6 p.m. Thursday in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood. Officials say the 38-year-old driver was making a turn when he struck 48-year-old Yan Jindee of Manhattan.

Jindee was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the accident.
