PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police say two women have been wounded, but a toddler nearby wasn’t hurt, when someone riddled a home with bullets.
Police Chief Inspector Scott Small says the incident happened about 2 a.m. Friday in the city’s Kingsessing section.
Police say a 36-year-old woman was visiting her 40-year-old friend when someone banged on the front door. When one of the women looked through the door’s peephole, a masked man opened frim from across the street, firing at least 14 shots.
Police say the older woman was hit in the abdomen and the younger woman in the thigh. A 3-year-old — who police say is the daughter of one of the women — wasn’t hurt.
Both women are in Penn Presbyterian Hospital where their conditions and names weren’t immediately available.
