Concert proceeds match past record

Our Hospice of South Central Indiana matched last year’s record of $127,000 from its annual Labor Day weekend concert with headliner Blue Oyster Cult.

The concert drew an estimated 7,000 people to Mill Race Park in Columbus. The event set a new record with sales of 5,523 total raffle tickets, said Suzie Singer, Our Hospice marketing and planning manager.

Our Hospice President Laura Hurt expressed gratitude over the successful event, which raises money to help seriously ill patients and their families.

“We are grateful to our communities for supporting a fun and safe event, and to our sponsors, supporters, benefactors, employees and volunteers for helping us continue this important tradition that allows us to fulfill our mission,” Hurt said.
