NORTH POLE, Alaska — A 48-year-old North Pole man died in an apparent chain saw accident.

Alaska State Troopers say Robert Grill died Tuesday while cutting trees near a home north of the city.

Troopers just after 5:30 p.m. took a call of a man dead in woods.

Troopers determined Grill suffered a severe chain saw wound to his neck.

The state medical examiner will perform an autopsy.
