Bartholomew County Jail employees receive promotions

Three Bartholomew County Jail employees earned promotions recently.

Lt. Nichole Kinman was promoted to captain. She has been employed with the Bartholomew County Jail for 13 years. Kinman is a 2003 graduate of Columbus East High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from IUPUI’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). She obtained a master’s degree in criminal justice with a criminal behavior concentration from Tiffin University as well as a second master’s degree in homeland security.

Kinman also has held the ranks of field training officer, corporal, sergeant and lieutenant. She and her husband reside in Columbus.

Sgt. Tyler Stillabower was promoted to lieutenant. He has been employed by the jail for almost 10 years. Stillabower is a 2008 graduate of Jennings County High School. Previously, he held the ranks of field training officer, corporal and sergeant. He currently resides in North Vernon.

Correction’s officer Kyle Weaver was promoted to sergeant. He has been employed by the jail for 2 1/2 years. He has an associate degree in criminal justice. Weaver resides in Columbus.
