INDIANAPOLIS
Kathy L. Aldridge Smith, 68, of Indianapolis, died at 11:46 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at her residence.
She was retired from St. Francis Beech Grove Hospital where she was a nurse. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution. She enjoyed reading, knitting, was an avid blogger and especially loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Bethel Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Paul Huntsman officiating.

Kathy was born on July 25, 1949, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Ora D. and Janet M. Fann Aldridge.
On September 7, 1969, she married Harold L. Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years; daughters, Lara (Anthony) Ianitelli of Michigan and Sarah (Mark Bell) Smith-Robbins of Bloomington; grandchildren, Audrey Jones, Morrigan Robbins, Teagan Robbins, and Xander Robbins; siblings, Ethel Jeffries of Columbus, Robert Aldridge of Columbus, Richard Aldridge of New Jersey, Ayryn Aldridge of Carmel.
She was preceded in death by parents; and siblings, Donald Harbert, Tommy Joe Aldridge, Donna Pulliam, Mary Calabrese, and Polly Spaulding.
