FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police have released the name of a man who was found shot to death in a car in North Carolina.

Fayetteville police said in a news release Tuesday that 19-year-old Jaquan McBryde was killed in the shooting.

A second man in the vehicle, 18-year-old Paul Coleman, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville for treatment of a gunshot wound to the back. Police said he was in critical condition after surgery at last report.

Police were called to a report of several shots fired around 5:30 p.m. Monday and found the victims in a vehicle near an intersection.

Police have not released a possible motive in the shooting. No arrests have been made.
