SAN FRANCISCO — Police in Northern California have identified a man killed after a freeway standoff with police.

San Francisco Bay Area police on Thursday said the dead man was 45-year-old limo-company owner Demilo Hodge.

Fairfield police tell the San Francisco Chronicle that Hodge was wanted in the 2015 killing of a 68-year-old man there.

A police pursuit of Hodge led to a standoff that shut down Interstate 80 for hours Wednesday. Police say Hodge was fatally wounded in a shootout with officers.
