NORTH VERNON — North Vernon police are investigating the death of a teenager who was found in a home in the 400 block of West Walnut Street.
Police found Lance W. Anderson, 18, Scottsburg, inside the home on Wednesday morning, said Sgt. Andrew Richmond, North Vernon Police Department spokesman.
Anderson was declared dead at the scene although the initial call to police was about an unresponsive male at the home, Richmond said.
Detectives continue to gather information and the death is considered an open investigation, Richmond said.
