CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids police say they’ve charged a man for slaying in a store parking lot.

Police say 25-year-old Quarzone Martin was picked up in Chicago last week and has been returned to Linn County to face charges of murder, attempted murder and related crimes. Iowa court records don’t list the name of an attorney who could comment for him.

He’s suspected of fatally shooting 26-year-old Andrew Meeks and wounding 30-year-old Johnny Moore Jr. on July 2 in the parking lot of a Cedar Rapids Walmart store.
