NEWARK, Del. — Newark police are investigating an armed robbery at a Little Caesars Pizza restaurant.

Police said a 59-year-old male employee reported that two men entered the restaurant Monday night and demanded money. The employee said he turned over money from the cash register after one of the men showed a handgun. The men fled the store and were seen entering a large, dark gray sports-utility vehicle parked in a nearby parking lot.

Police did not say how much money was taken.
