D’IBERVILLE, Miss. — A Mississippi man has been arrested in connection stabbing at a casino that came after an argument.

The Sun Herald reports Eddie Joseph Parish turned himself in and was charged with aggravated assault Monday for the stabbing that happened at the Scarlet Pearl Casino in D’Iberville. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

D’Iberville police Lt. Jason King says casino security called police Sunday around 6:30 p.m. to report a disturbance at the buffet. Authorities say police were later notified that one of the men pulled out a knife, stabbed the other man in the shoulder and fled.

King says the men were acquaintances, but it is unclear what led to the argument.

It’s unclear if Parish has a lawyer.
