NEWARK, N.J. — A man involved in the armed robbery of a New Jersey club has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison.
Shaheed Blamahsah received a 144-month term on Tuesday. He also will have to serve to five years of supervised release once he’s freed from prison.
The 30-year-old East Orange man had pleaded guilty in May to conspiracy and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence for his role in the September 2015 robbery at the club in Passaic.
Blamahsah admitted threatening an employee during the robbery, which netted more than $26,000.
Another man involved in the robbery pleaded guilty last month and is now awaiting sentencing. Trial is pending for a third man charged in the case.
