Columbus East and Columbus North will get a rematch of Thursday night’s five-set thriller won by the Olympians.
East and North drew first-round byes and will meet in the semifinals of the North Sectional around 12:30 p.m. Oct. 14. The winner will play for the championship at 7 p.m. that evening.
Bloomington North will play East Central, and Bloomington South will face Shelbyville in the opening round Oct. 12. Those winners will meet in the first semifinal at 11 a.m. Oct. 14.
Meanwhile, Class A No. 2 Hauser will play Waldron in the opening round of its own sectional around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12. The winner will play Southwestern (Shelby) or Oldenburg Academy around 12:30 p.m. Oct. 14.
South Decatur drew a first-round bye in the Hauser Sectional and will face Rising Sun or Jac-Cen-Del in the semifinals at 11 a.m. Oct. 14. The championship game will be at 7 p.m. that night.
Also in Class A, Edinburgh and Trinity Lutheran drew first-round byes and will meet in the semifinals of the Edinburgh Sectional around 12:30 p.m. Oct. 14. The final will be at 7 p.m. that evening.
Jennings County will play Bedford North Lawrence in the Class 4A New Albany Sectional opener Oct. 10. The winner will face Seymour in the semifinals at 11 a.m. Oct. 14.
Brown County will meet South Vermillion around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12 in the first round of the Class 3A Edgewood Sectional. The winner will play West Vigo or Owen Valley in the semifinals at 11 a.m. Oct. 14.
