Jets finish unbeaten in conference play

HOPE — Class A No. 2 Hauser wrapped up a perfect season in the Mid-Hoosier Conference with a 25-13, 25-15, 25-27, 25-17 volleyball win against Edinburgh.

Sydney Schoen led the Jets (26-3, 6-0) with 13 digs and five aces. Madie Sherman pounded 12 kills, Alana Owen recorded 34 assists and Hannah Johnson had four blocks.

Sydney Schoen also tallied 11 kills, three assists and 13 digs; and Sarah Tedder had two assists, three blocks, nine digs and two aces. Taylor Henderson pounded 10 kills and two blocks, and Owen added nine digs and three aces.

The Lancers fell to 8-20 overall and 4-2 in the MHC.

Panthers sweep North

Columbus North came closer in each set, but Bloomington South claimed a 25-10, 25-15, 25-22 Conference Indiana win.

Agustina Fainguersch pounded seven kills, Lily Meyercord recorded 10 assists, Maddy Sebahar notched 31 digs and Sophie McKinney and Katie McAninch each served an ace to lead the Bull Dogs (13-13, 3-2).

Fainguersch also added 30 digs. Katie McAninch pounded five kills, and Gabby Genth had three kills.

Eagles down Mohawks

WALDRON — Brown County won the first two sets and went on to post a 25-12, 25-11, 21-25, 25-13 win against Waldron.

The Eagles improved to 14-7.

Trinity topples Rock Creek

SEYMOUR — Trinity Lutheran overcame a second-set setback to post a 25-13, 20-25, 25-11, 25-21 win against Rock Creek Academy.

Hannah Sabotin led the Cougars (17-11) with 12 kills and three aces. Courtney Barker also served three aces, while Bailey Reynolds pounded nine kills and Chloe Criswell added eight kills and two aces.

Stars upend Panthers

FLOYDS KNOBS — Jennings County was within 1-0 at halftime, but Bedford North Lawrence pulled away for a 3-0 win in the opening round of the Floyd Central Sectional.

The Stars outshot the Panthers (6-9-2) 11-7. Kenna Maschino recorded seven saves.

Warriors oust Cougars

NEW ALBANY — Trinity Lutheran saw its season come to an end with a 3-0 loss to Christian Academy of Indiana in the Christian Academy Sectional.

The Warriors outshot the Cougars (6-8-3) 30-18. Jacob Keith posted six saves.
