PIERRE, S.D. — Children playing with a phone led Pierre police officers to a drug bust.

The Capital Journal reports that officers who responded to several 911 hang-up calls on Sunday morning smelled marijuana and initiated a welfare check on the children.

Officers say they found marijuana and paraphernalia inside the residence, and a 25-year-old man became combative with officers. He was arrested on several charges.
