‘The Hit Men’ to perform in Franklin

Top musicians and singers who performed with artists Elton John, Frankie Valli, Carole King, Cat Stevens, Tommy James and others will be in concert presenting those artists’ best-known hits at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Franklin Performing Arts Center, 2600 Cumberland Drive.

The Hit Men are not part of a tribute band. They are the actual musicians and singers heard on the performers’ original records, listened to on the radio, watched on TV and seen in concert. During this multi-media production, The Hit Men will take audience members behind the scenes with insider stories about what it was like on the road and in recording sessions with the performers they backed.

Band members include Lee Shapiro (with Barry Manilow and others) and Jimmy Ryan (with Elton John and Carly Simon).

Tickets are $20 to $40. Information: theFranklinPAC.org.
