Frances L. Moore

BUTLERVILLE

Frances L. Moore, 77, of Butlerville, passed away at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017, at her residence.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. The Rev. Marvin Wright will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Otter Creek Cemetery.

Born October 25, 1939, in St. James, Minnesota, Frances was the daughter Fred and Josephine Rust Knaack.

She graduated from Trimont High School in Minnesota in 1957.

She married James Moore on July 11, 1962, and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1998.

Frances was a retired baker from the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. She continued to bake pies for Grateful Grubb, Goins Auction Barn and many other loyal customers.

Frances was a member of Otter Creek Baptist Church.

She enjoyed quilting, word searches, painting, cutting wood and was a Dale Earnhardt fan.

Frances is survived by two brothers, Fred (Doris) Knaack of Grover, Iowa and Elmer (Wanda) Knaack of St. James, Minnesota; two sisters, Dorothy (Larry) Kelly of Superior, Iowa and Leona (Charles) Buchan of Ledyard, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Ruth Knaack of Colorado; three brothers-in-law, Clarence Earl Moore and John Moore of Butlerville and Gene Moore of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Josephine Knaack; her husband, James Moore; and two brothers, Johnny and Albert Knaack.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Otter Creek Cemetery or the Shrine Hospital Transport Fund.
