WILMINGTON, Del. — Delaware State Police are searching for man suspected in the armed robbery of a Wilmington-area sandwich shop.

Police said in a statement Saturday that a man entered the Subway restaurant around 5:45 p.m. Friday. He approached an employee and presented a written demand for cash.

Police say he then displayed a handgun. The employee complied, turning over an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect fled.

There were no injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
