BOISE, Idaho — Ada County officials say a 14-month-old boy was hit by a vehicle in Boise.

The Idaho Statesman (http://bit.ly/2z4dxgz ) reports that the young child suffered abrasion, but no other traumatic injuries.

Ada County Dispatch says they received a call Thursday evening of a child being hit. The child was reportedly in the street after getting out of a house without his parent’s knowing. According to the call, the child was conscious and crying after being hit.

Boise Police spokeswoman Haley Williams says the department is investigating but there appears to be no criminal intent from the boy’s parents or the driver.
