MOLALLA, Ore. — A head-on crash on State Route 211 left a man from Molalla, Oregon, dead and two injured.

The Oregon State Patrol says the crash happened at about 8 p.m. Saturday.

The preliminary investigation indicates Robert C. Lowe of Molalla was driving a 2007 Pontiac south on SR 211.

The Pontiac crossed the center-line and crashed head-on with a 1998 Honda Civic.

The Honda was occupied by 32-year-old driver Amanda Hartman of Eugene and 39-year-old passenger Matthew Welch of Chimacum, Washington.

Lowe was pronounced deceased at the scene. Hartman was flown to OHSU with critical injuries. Welch was taken by ambulance to OSHU with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
