WAKEFIELD, N.H. — Authorities say New Hampshire residents joined firefighters to help battle a fire over the weekend.

WMUR-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2g7WIgh ) Wakefield firefighters were called to a burning log cabin on Great Island Sunday evening. Locals pitched in by transporting firefighters to the island by boat.

Officials say they were on scene for over four hours containing the flames. The cabin is considered a total loss, but no one was injured.

Authorities say they are still investigating the cause of the fire.
