The Scipio United Methodist Church will host a special guest speaker Thursday.
G.L. Woods, a former motocross racer, will speak at 6 p.m. at The Shelter, 5060 W. County Road 600N, Scipio.
Woods was paralyzed after a severe crash in 2004 and was given a slim chance of recovery. However, he did recover and now travels to give testimony to the faith he believes saved him, organizers said.
