ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Police in a North Carolina city say they are looking for a cyclist accused of assaulting a motorist.

Asheville police told local media outlets that a driver reported last Wednesday that a cyclist hit him several times with his bicycle helmet, kicked him and stole $80 and eyeglasses. Police said the driver also reported damage to his cell phone and vehicle. No motive was reported.

That comes follows a separate incident Sept. 27 in which a motorist was captured on video punching another cyclist at a traffic light. The driver in the earlier incident was charged with misdemeanor simple assault.
