LONGS, S.C. — A man has died after being found with a gunshot wound in a vehicle in South Carolina.

Local media outlets reported that Horry County police were called to the Longs community around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and found a 41-year-old man in a sports utility vehicle with a bullet hole in the passenger side.

The victim was pronounced dead after he was taken to a hospital. His name has not been released.

A police report said that emergency responders told officers it appeared the man had been shot three times.

Police spokeswoman Krystal Dotson said Wednesday no arrests have been made.
