COLUMBUS
Melvin Ray Huntington, 76, of Columbus, died at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Hickory Creek at Franklin in Franklin, Indiana.
Mr. Huntington was born November 29, 1940, in Milan, Indiana, the son of Ray F. and Inez E. Williams Huntington.
Mr. Huntington was a U.S. Air Force veteran and for many years was the assistant manager at Bob Evans Farms Restaurant.
Mr. Huntington is survived by his children, Cindy K. Blackmon of Elkhart, Indiana and Gerald R. Huntington of Elkhart, Indiana; a brother, Dennis Lee Huntington and his wife, Sandy of Nashville, Indiana; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Huntington was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Greg Torrison officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Private burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
